Far Western University (FWU) wasestablished in 2010 by the Act of Parliament as a government-funded university.To achieve the aim of the university, the Faculty of Management (FoM) iseffortful in designing and implementing new, professional, market-oriented, andresearch-based courses, and innovative learning pedagogies. FoM is theuniversity's largest faculty in terms of academic programs, number of studentsand faculties. At present, FoM is running undergraduate programs (BBA, andBBS), graduate programs (MBA, MBM, and MBS), and research degree programs(MPhil, and PhD).

The Undergraduate programs of FWUprovide students with a broad range of knowledge and skills related to the managementof an organization. Graduate programs prepare students for executive leadershipand teamwork roles within corporations, government agencies and non-profitorganizations. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Management of FWU is anadvanced postgraduate degree. It aims at enabling students to think critically,and deeply about management as a field of study. It involves the systematicacquisition and understanding of a substantial body of knowledge in a student’schosen academic disciplinary field or area of professional practice inbusiness. The focus of the program is thus to produce research scholars, andprofessionals who would serve effectively in academia as well as in thecorporate sector, and demonstrate specialist subject knowledge, and a highlevel of transferable skills, including consultancy, analytical, communication,and leadership skills. Likewise, the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program hasbeen designed to develop qualified scholars who will pursue distinguishedcareers in teaching, research, and consultancy. The purpose of PhD program isto groom promising young researchers to be innovative academic leaders,management practitioners, and thinkers in the field of management.
